WWW Wednesday #2 (7/15/15)

Hello everyone! Once again it’s Wednesday. So it’s meme time. 😀 This meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words but was originally hosted on Should Be Reading. To do the meme answer these three questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

the name of the starCurrently I’m about a quarter of the way through The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson. This is a reread for me. I read it when I first started college but I barely remember it. I was so weighted down with class work and required reading that it took me months to read which means I didn’t quite remember the beginning by the time I read the ending. I do remember enjoying it and so far it’s living up to that. It’s about a girl who has a near death experience in London right when a Jack the Ripper copycat appears. That’s all I’m saying.

I’ve also recently started 1984 by George Orwell. Because I was a different high school my sophomore1984 year, I wound up not reading this novel (and many more tbh) so I’m using this for my 2015 challenge for a book a should have read in high school. So far it’s not going well for me. I have such a hard time with classics. I think I need to read a physical copy instead of the kindle version I have so I think I might switch to that.

I’ve just started Never Fade by Alexandra Bracken as well. I really love The Darkest Minds so I can’t wait to delve into this one!

What did you recently finish?

I’ve been on a killer reading binge. Almost all of them will get a review soonish. Since last week I’ve finished:in this moment

What do you plan on reading?unlit star

Considering I only read one book I planned to this past week. I still want to read Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen and Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. I also hope to read Soulless by Gail Carriger and maybe Unlit Star by Lindy Zart.

  1. I hope you can get into 1984. I enjoyed it at the end but parts did feel a little cumbersome. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!

    1. Same! I have a hard time being forced to read anything really. Reading has always been strictly fun and I don’t want to do anything involving it if I don’t want to. Lol. (That’s 6th grade me speaking after being made to read Hatchet. )
